- Will this fit my 58mm machine?
- Most of our tools are sized for standard 58mm portafilters — the most common group head size on home machines like Breville, Gaggia, and La Marzocco Linea Mini. Each product page lists the exact fit. If you're not sure, email us before you order.
- I'm new to espresso. Where do I start?
- Start with a scale and a WDT distribution tool. Weighing your dose and yield removes the two biggest variables beginners can't see. The WDT tool costs $24 and immediately shows you if your grind is clumping — which it almost certainly is.
- How long does shipping take?
- It depends on the item. Some tools ship from a US warehouse and arrive in about 2–7 days; others ship direct and take around 2–4 weeks. The exact ship time is shown on every product page and at checkout, so there are no surprises.
- Do you ship outside the US?
- Not yet — US addresses only for now.
- What if it's not the upgrade I expected?
- Unused, unopened tools can be returned within 30 days (buyer-paid return shipping). If it arrived damaged or defective, email hello@dialitinsupply.com within 30 days with a photo and we'll replace or refund it — no need to ship it back. Full details on the Returns page.
- What's the best tool for fixing channeling?
- A WDT distribution tool and a puck screen together address most channeling issues. The bottomless portafilter lets you see exactly where the problem is — it's the diagnostic tool, not the fix, but it makes everything else faster to solve.
- Do I need a scale if I already have one?
- Only if yours doesn't read to 0.1g and doesn't have a built-in timer. For espresso, 0.1g resolution and a timer running simultaneously aren't nice-to-haves — they're how you dial in a ratio and repeat it.
